Why coastal is so calm and soothing.
Posted on 23 March 2016
Remember when you were younger and you would head to the beach with the family? It might have been down the coast camping, or staying in a nice holiday house. Your days were filled with the sound of the ocean. You'd swim, explore and play until you were exhausted and then fall asleep to the sound of the sea. Well that was me anyway. As you get older and a huge portion of your time is spent working, you begin to actively seek out that down time that holiday and your seaside trips are more like a break, to swim and read your book and relax. For some reason being close to nature and away from the hustle bustle is just so relaxing and rejuvenating!
This weeks moodboard is inspired by the coast. Featuring whites and wooden textures and prints that feature fish scales and palm trees.
I can imagine this bedroom in a beach shack on the coast.
The freshness of the white in contrast to the bright indigo blue accessories creates a tranquil place to relax and spend your down time.
Don't wait for a holiday to have this beautiful space. Why not recreate your own coastal retreat in your bedroom?
I am here to help if you would like to re design your space and source divine pieces for your new space. I source from local artisans and specialist stores right through to your regular stores like Ikea, target and many more. Often I can get industry discounts on your pieces too!
